Google is joining Apple in demanding honesty with program subscriptions. Google Play policy prohibits apps which use deceptive language or vision to fool you into subscriptions. Programs now must be clear about a program's price, frequency and provisions, including whether there will be an automatic renewal. They should also summarize the qualities it is possible to use without a subscription, and describe how you cancel service prior to your free period is over.

The company has enhanced the Play Store's Approach to subscriptions to match.
